okay, 1week after suspension install, rear doesn't sit level!!!!!!

Get down and look closely at how your rear mounts. Here is a picture to show what you are looking for:

See how the leaf in this picture is straight:



And the leaf in this picture has a slight twist in it:


A VERY slight tweaking in my subframe from either years of a pegleg rear, poor repairs by a PO, or some accident has my one mount just the slightest out of line, not something I could even quantify with a tape measure but it is an exponential problem. The further down the spring you go, the larger the problem. This tiny little inperfection makes the one side of the rear of the car sit about 1/3 of an inch lower...and it drives me crazy, but not enough to go to a frame shop about it...at least not yet. I am the only one who ever notices it unless I point it out and then people are like "ohhhhhhhh, I see it now".

Thanks, Nick. Good pics. I did check for this already, and they do seem to be straight and level.

The problem seems to have worked itself out now that I've loosened everything, drove it, then retightened it.

Thanks for the input, all!
