Old cam, will computer like it?

I probably wont keep the cam if there is much overlap. I dont want to have tow it to a dyno to get it to run right. Thats why I was wanting to know if there was a cam with similar specs and a good LSA for the computer if I had to get another cam.

My dad called me and said that the cam just had 292 stamped on the end of it....no other numbers. He said he will try to take it by a machine shop where he lives and see if he can find out the lobe separation. Got a new question....is there anything else other than the cam that would be incompatible?

There is a guy close to where I live with an E303 cam for dirt cheap. Would this do for my combo of parts?
