old fan clutch problems..

i think i finally solved my heating problem!! it warms up ant low rpm's but as soon as i get on it a little bit it cools down....anyone know anything about theses old clutch driven fans??

My experience has been that they fail with time and stop working efficiently. It's now one of the first things that I check when confronted with an overheating problem.
