old paxton supercharger

Heres the story.... my mechanic friend had a 306 w/ paxton supercharger doing 5/6PSI of boost (not sure which the old paxtons did, if someone could tell me that would be nice), anyway, he just stroked his 302 to a 347, and got it dyno-tuned and now he wants a bigger supercharger that will put out more boost. So he wants to sell me his old paxton for 1000$....i have 3 questions

(1) Should I do it?

Please note i burn oil, 500miles a quart, i just got my heads rebuilt which should solve the problem if not completely, then pretty damn close!

(2) If i do it, what other mods will i need? Would i even need a new fuel pump?
(3) How much HP/TQ will it add to my almost stck system? (full exhaust, CAI)

Thanks for your time! Good luck and God Bless!

if it's not your rings, and he does fx the head problem, then you'll probably be alright. I'm pretty sure the vortech a trim does like 5-6 psi and doesn't need fuel pumps or injectors so I would imagine if they can do it, you can do it. Assuming i'm right about vortech, and also assuming i'm right that this is a comparable supercharger. You probably will need to do little things like close the gap up on your plugs and back out some timing and whatnot.

Install it. Once the install is done, check out the air/fuel ratio through the power band and make sure you're not running to lean. If you want to be safe then pick up a Fuel Management Booster (assuming you're running stock 19 lb injectors). That will fool your injectors into thinking they're 23 - 24 lb injectors and give you all the fuel you'll need for 5 lbs of boost.

You running speed density? If so, you'll need a one way valve between the MAP sensor and tied between the boosted and non-boosted sides of the super charger (as per the instructions with my Kenne Bell).
