I wonder if the back half of the first car was welded on?

That vert in the last pic looks freaky, the roof really strengthens the fox chassis.

I didn't even know what to think when i saw the stang in half. I was kinda wondering what the hell happen for that to even be possible.

I remember watching a documentary a long time ago on how shops in England would illegally weld two good car halfs together and sell them, they called them ''cut and shuts''. Its dangerous for obvious reasons and they almost always split back in two when they wreak. It makes me wonder if that Mustang was a "cut and shut".

A few years ago a Taurus hit a pole a couple of blocks away from me and it split in half. I cant remember how it hit the pole though, I want to say it hit head on and the car broke apart.

Doesn't always have to be a spliced car to tear like that. Just takes a lot of mass/force and just the right angle. I've seen pics on the news of a Geo Metro that split in half from getting T-boned by a drunk driver in a pickup running a red light in downtown Phoenix.
