Once Again...FOX VC Fitment ????

I have some AL Fox Valve covers. I have a VOrtech setup and stock heads/cam.

Do you see any reason why these FOX VC's will NOT fit?
I started polishing them.

get a pic of how your engine setup is and I could tell ya not sure how the stuff runs with a sc

they should fit i'd say looks to be about the same as having a CAI. A lot of guys say they "had to" grind teh vc down to make it fit thast bs all you have to do is loosen the alt pull it over put the vc on and bolt the alt back up no grinding needed. Never hurts to try i say go for it and let me (beings i'm the only one that seems to be answering you) know and post some pics if it works

I have the Vortech off now, AND the Alternator off. Only thing left is the Upper intake, then I have clear access.

WHy would the filler neck be an issue?

(btw..Jose, the guy that gave these to me, and Eades have said they should fit. Eades said he had interior issues, but that was due to the rockers.)

cause it sits different then the stocker one different angle i think and might be longer by the looks of yours

The hose nipple on the filler tube sits about 1/16 of an inch from the isc which makes it impossible to use.

The filler tube is positioned about 1.0 to 1.5 inches farther to the rear on the Fox vc.

If you can't visualize what I'm trying to describe I got a pic or two and can put them up tonight if you need em.

they actually fit better then the stockers. i finished putting in the passenger side last night. the damn heater tubes were in the way but after some wiggling and effort, it came out and the fox cover actually fell right in. it also clears the alternator by a hair.

you'll need longer valve cover bolts because the thickness of the fox cover is pretty thick along with the gasket. i just used some good gasket maker silicon instead of a gasket and used the stock bolts.

i'm doing the fox TB conversion so i wont have a problem with my oil filler neck.

Rob: They should fit fine w/ that set up. I had some myself but they would not fit b/c the paxton sits back futher then the Vortech does. As it was we had to grind down the corner of the stock cover and I dident want to hack up a good pair of fox covers, plus there alot thicker along the base then the stock covers were.

Maybe this will help you to see how the nipple on the fill tube is jammed up next to the isc.

As you can see in mine looks like it sits higher then the stock too i think you'll be fine

Can we just chop 1/3" or so off the nipple?

Also, what gaskets you all running? I wanted to use the thin stock steel one, cause it's still "stucl" firmly to the block. I changed VC's 3 times without those things moving even once.

i got new ones just asked for vc gaskets for a 94 mustang gt their cork things everythings shaped the same so they don't need nothing special. You could if ya want up to you i don't trust reusing stuff don't feel like having to rip everything apart again just cause of a leaking gasket

Last year, I changed the stockers for the Summit $20 chromers. The stock steel gasket was in "PERFECT" shape, and did not budge for it's 10-year stock position.. I reused it for the chromers. WELL, the chromers have a groove that is made for the cork gasket. They did not fare well with the thin steel gasket. It leaked in the back corner, so I just painted the stockers and put them back on with SAME steel gasket ....NO LEAKING for a year now.

The Foxes and stockers have a flat lip, not a groove, so when you tighten them down, they stay pressed well against the block..
