I want to make my own steel one-piece driveshaft for my 06 Muatang GT and need to know what the total length of the shaft will be once cut down leaving at least 3/4 for compression. I believe it is around 53.5" and at that length gives around 3/4 compression. Does this sound correct?...............Thanks

There is no such thing as a true 1 piece driveshaft for the new stangs. All of the new so called 1 piece driveshafts cost so damn much because there is a splined section that makes it able to move in and out a bit with the suspension due to the lack of a slip yoke on the transmission. I have a JPC aluminum shaft, but I'm not sure what the length is. It's much lighter though.
