one piece front windows?

When Oklahoma had inspections, the only glass you had to have that was glass was the windshield. The other windows could be Lexan.

You wouldn't want to use Plexiglass, it's more scratch resistant than Lexan, but it breaks into big pieces. Percy's Speed Glass has a special coating for their Lexan that makes it scratch resistant. I saw it at WFC8, they had a piece that was half coated with some steel wool and the uncoated side scratched easily, whereas the coated side did not.

I've seen guys put Lexan in their early carsm they just removed the glass and put the Lexan in the old frame. Problem wasm the Lexan was thinner. If you were to maybe take a rear track and put it at the front of the door (from the opposite side of the car), and took some extra window channels and welded them to the existing channels, benind them as required, then re-chroming them, that might work, but the side glass has a slight curve to it, so you'd need to find a donor glass that had the same curve, but was bigger. I've got some Fox body glass, but I think it may have more curve to it.

It's be WAY custom, but I think the best way would be to cut away part of the roof and the A pillar and attach it to the door, more like a modern car. You could then make the glass fit more flush along with the quarter windows (unless you have a fastback). The rear of the window frame could fit on the inside of the window, so when the door was open, there wouldn't appear to be a rear part of the frame.

In Ca there are no safety inspections. Further there are no smog requirements for pre 73 cars. It's not as bad as it used to be. I remember when I was a kid in 72, they would just randomly stop cars going down the road and give safety inspections. Weirdest thing I had ever seen.

oregon does have equipment laws regarding glass, headlights, turn signals, etc.... but most cops dont know the laws... and arent gonna look em up just to write a ticket....

i...... however have found a couple who broke it out just so they could find something to write me up for... but they were "fix-it" tickets...and its great to make the cop come out and check it over so he can sign off on the ticket he spend 45 mins writing in the pouring down rain.

in maryland

if your vehical is 25 years old and you have it regestered as historic you don't have to do NOTHING but show proof of liability insurance to get it registered and on the road.......

and then that is it until you sell the car, in fact in maryland the only time you need a safety inspection on any vehical is when it changes owners.........

now that doesn't mean that a cop can't get you for a safety violation if they are so inclined

Naw,us movie starts dont need no stinking inspections.My car,evem though it is "show" as you say,is completely street legal, and smog exempt,so anything goes.

but we do have mobile dynoes that set up on different streets and you get stopped in a check point and randomely pulled out to get a quick "smog" test.If your a modified late model or import,good luck
