Online Mustang Parts

Just out of curiousity, Where is your favorite place online to purchase parts for your mustangs? The reason im asking is I had a bad experience with LRS last week and am still a little hot about what happened. To make a long story short they charged my debit card 3 times for the parts I ordered and then they wouldnt cancel the order so I had to call my bank and have them cancel the transaction. Im not mentioning the sells reps name because he is a pretty popular guy he was featured in MMFF a little while ago but im not here to ruin anybody's reputation but I am choosing never to deal with them again.

Summit for drivetrain parts. Foxmustangrestoration.com is another good place for hard to find body/interior items. If you have really deep pockets there is always year one.

I had the exact same problem happen with them once, on a $1000 order. They have some ridiculous security that causes it, I can't remember for sure what it was but I think it has something to do with your shipping address and billing address lining up. They will keep trying to push it through and it will keep getting rejected (and they won't send you the parts) until you straighten it out with your bank.

Overall, they're a decent company, but their checkout process sucks balls.

Fox body restoration

PPI ( performance parts inc) all mustang parts

National parts depot has a good rep with thier other line and is coming out with fox body parts. I just signed up for thier new catolog.

LRS-it's been awhile since I've used them but didn't have any issues

Jegs

Tousley Ford

to name a few.

Summit and LRS, Summit is always the 1st choice, LRS for the lights/exterior trim/interior stuff and Jegs if summit dosent have it. If i need something that day i call mustangs unlimited to see if they have it and drive 40 minutes to pick it up, but i really dont like dealing with them

I'm extremely saddened to be reading this. Would you be willing to PM me your info so I can have the sales manger look in to your account?

We do have a very stringent system in place to protect our customers from fraud as well as ourselves. If the address & zip code you provide does not match the billing address for the card being used, the card will not give an authorization, but depending on your bank, they will keep each attempt to authorize as a pre-authorization against your account. Sometimes if the 3 digit CVV code is given incorrectly, it will decline as well. It used to be a matter of us sending a simple form over to your bank to have pre-authorizations removed, but now most banks require that the customer call in first to initiate the process. It is very likely that this was the case here.

We are always willing to work with our customers to ensure their experience with us is a pleasant one, even when problems arise. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have used LRS with good results, no complaints.

Mustangs Unlimited is my favorite though, I call their toll free number and order over the phone. Friendly staff that answers questions honestly (I was concidering MU headers but after talking with the rep he confirmed I would be more happy with the BBK ones, I assumed that all along but wanted to hear what they thought) If I call in the morning I usually have my parts the next day.

I have had great luck for stock replacement parts with these guys

Sorry you've had a bad experience. I've bought tons of parts over the years from LRS. Luckily I've never had any problems.
Anyway these are my online suppliers.

LRS, FMR, and MU. American Muscle seems to gear more to the late models.

LRS/50resto is always my first choice. The prices are in line with Summit and American Muscle and the company and Shannon Guderian, the owner, in particular have always been HUGE supporters of the hobby and local Mustang clubs. They constantly donate gift certificates and merchandise to local causes. In fact, I'm fixin' ready to give them a call for a Bassani stainless X-pipe in the next couple of days.

It really depends on how fast I need the part. I usually use summit for stuff that can wait a few days for but if I need it quick I drive over to Downs Ford, less than 5 min from my house. I have also used LRS with no problems.
