Open Headers

Do you guys think my car would run better with exuast,or should i stay with open headers its just a track car and every once in a while i will drive it on the street,the reason is my buddy more less gave me a set of magnaflows are these mufflers good?

I know a guy with a 10 sec 351w notchback. It's strictly a track car, but it ran a tenth or two quicker with a full exhaust on it rather than open headers. Every application is different, but low horse motors (under 700) like ours usually don't benefit from open motors.

Small Blocks like exhaust. They like the back pressure. BigBlock like open headers. Every engine is different. I'm just talking in general. One of are car with a big block. The car would go 10.70's put exhaust on it Slowed it down to a 11.0's. I say get a custom exhaust made up that is easy to remove. So you'll have it for whenever you want to throw it on the car and you can take it to the track and make a few pass with them and without. Then you'll know.

magnaflows flow very nice
