Gonna be working all this weekend on the latest set of goodies for the car. I'm gonna find out just how "non performance improved" the heads are on my car.

List of goodies:
-MHS Stage 2 NPI blower cams
-2 more pounds of boost (3.3 pulley)
-Water/methanol via an AIS kit

Dyno tune is schedule for this coming up Wednesday afternoon.

I took the blower off last week to get it tapped for a new IAT sensor. It was installed upstream of the blower, and thus couldn't correctly measure IATs. Well now it's on the blower itself and will allow for much more accurate tuning.

I spent this afternoon cleaning up the blower and painting it. I didn't really dislike the aluminum color it was, but I thought it would look better black. I was right. Here are some before and after pictures.

Hoping to get the cams done tomorrow and everything back together on Sunday. I'll have Pandora up on my computer in the shop all day tomorrow, so I'll try and keep teh Stangnet updated.

And if anyone wants to start making dyno predictions, go for it. I'm looking forward to it myself.

Looks like an intake manifold with an aluminum crossover to me. That's what I'll be telling everyone at the track anyway.

I'll poop a brick if it makes those numbers, haha.

Update: got pretty much everything apart now. Got the new pulley on the blower (which was actually a big deal), and it's ready to go now.

Almost apart.

Completely apart.

My company for the night.

Fastlane down in Benson.

And a heads up: I'll be heading to the track as soon as possible after it gets tuned this week (weather permitting).

I'm expecting you to regret that duct tape on the intake ports.

375/375 is my guess.

Haha, I've thought about that, too. But I none of the other tape I have would stick to it. And I wasn't going to leave them open for 10 days and risk the chance of dropping a bolt down in it.

Just a little more duration.

New Trickflow chains, guides, and arms.

The stock stuff looked fine, but for $150 extra and as easy as it was to change them, it was worth the peace of mind on a 120k motor.

Cams and timing stuff installed.

I'm hoping that I can get everything back on and have it running by late tonight. We'll see...

I'm working on it, dangit! Pretty much all I got left is the intake tube (currently polishing it), coolant reservoir, fan, and then fill it up with oil and water.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking.

Son of a biscuit eater. Just walked into the house to get some motor oil, and realized I don't have any. I always keep the same amount of filters and oil, and I assumed that because I had a filter, I had some oil as well. Guess not. I feel like an idiot.

Oh well, I'll just button up everything else tonight, get some oil first thing and get this bad boy running tomorrow morning.
