Opinion on CDC Classic Chin Spoiler

I received my chin spoiler last week. I have not put it on because I am not to sure if I should paint it or not.

Since my father does heavy collision auto body - I only have to pay for the paint. There is no charge for labor. However, I have been trying to envision in my head the way my car would look with it painted or not pained.

I have an 2006 Black GT. What do you guys think? Here is a pic of my car currently.

FYI - I installed the smoked turn signal lenses in the front and clear brake lenses in the rear.

That was what I was thinking. I am going to install it as-is today and will see how it looks. I will keep ya posted and will show pics once its washed.

+1 on flat black. Flat black will also likely hide any scrapes you will get from the significantly reduced ground clearance better than gloss.

Wehave similiar cars..Heres a pic..I like flat black on a black car, but some other colors look better with the spoiler painted imo...

I was going to say painted but I do recall how nice having it flat is to obscure some of the scuffs it will inevitibly get. I've not had a huge issue with mine, more just getting too close to really high curbs and poking the tip.

I installed it before - really easy!

I am torn on the flat black look that it came with. I am going to give it some time to see if it grows on me.

I should be washing my car this week so I will post pics with the new lenses and spoiler!

Leave it flat black. If you like it cool if not paint it.

I had it on the car for about two days - but I just didnt like the flat black with a black car.

I took it off before and my father is painting it as we speak. I will be sure to post pics of it when it is done!

OK - well my digital camera isnt the best - but I took some quick pics after I installed my painted chin spoiler... I do have to say - I think it looks MUCH better than the flat black.... I think flat black looks better on cars that aren't black.

I noticed after my father painted my chin spoiler - its not as shiney as the rest of the car

BAH - I gotta bother him when I see him tonight. I can notice the difference

I'm thinking of getting the same chin spoiler. Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy it online is? Also, does the plastic of the chin spoiler go right up to the grill insert that's on the lower part of the bumper? It's hard to tell from the photos.

How far does she hang down from the "lip"? I have been looking at adding this to mine but dont want to scrape her to death on the first speed bump since I am lowered.

It basically takes the lowest point of your bumper (outside corners) and extends that line all the way across the front.

OK, so there is no real lose of clearance but more of a leveling and forward extension of the bumper to make it look aggressive.... that will work.
