It looks like I need a new clutch. Gosh, how did that happen? The "NOTCH" as of last night had a Centerforce Dual Friction. Now it has no friction and a lot of small dual pieces. I know this is not the only company out there that makes a great clutch system, Speck, Mcloud, etc. Want your opinions on who makes the best, where to get one at a great price.

The car is making 507 rwt so I need a healthy clutch. More power to come in the future. (turbo)

Thanks,

Ben SEMPER FI

Mcleod makes a twin disc clutch very street/strip friendy and will handle alot of power. I'm probley going to go with one myself when i get the $$$. they're about 1,000 bucks though. You can find them on summit racing.

Mcleod, Ram, Spec, they all make decent ones. It seems like lately the streetable Spec 3's have been not lasting with a lot of nitrous or boost. Might not be a bad idea to try a twin disk clutch since you want it to hold a 150 shot.

My spec stage one holds a 150 shot at just under 500 ft lb of torque and this is it's second season. The spec is a great clutch if broke in properly. Bills stage 3 seems to hold ok.

How many times has Bill's car actually sprayed on the streets? It's a whole different story when you’re off the rollers.

I really like the Spec 3+ for most purposes and would recommend it to anyone under 600 rwhp.

Maybe since you have the magic touch, I should bring my car up there and let you put in a new clutch (Spec 3) and break it in and see if it holds?

Bring it up we would be glad to work on it. Then you could get one of our hybred clutches that we use for the 03 cobras.
