What are yins opinions on the Novi 1k? I just have a holley system max 2 intake and looking to have some fun with the car more than race it so i decided to do a S/C before heads and cam.. So i have about 1400 to spend and found a novi i could get for 1k so what you guys think? How many lbs should i be running? and this is 8lbs max?

They are good s/c units, I had a fox for a while with a Novi 2k, Ran with about 16# That was on a forged 306 though. For a stock block 8# would be fine if it was somewhat of a fresh block, but no higher. 6# would be a somewhat safe number but it could be a time bomb. I really think that the stock heads will be very restrictive.
I know you might not want to hear it but Im sure alot of guys will agree with me...
Forget the charger Buy new heads and get a new cam and you might be able to get some new gears for the rear end.:nice:
That will wake up your car more then you think. :D
All the stock stuff will really prevent you from feeling the s/c
Then save up for a even better s/c then the Novi 1k
Dont put the horse before the cart on this one, It is always better to build a foundation and work up. A solid engine will save you time, money, and stress in the long run.
list what is on the car then a plan can be worked out

I have the Fox TB style setup on my car now and the 94/95 would not work due to the length on the tube that would be for the tb...

I already have 3.73s, full suspension, i was running spray but took it off to do this, I have ALL msd igntion, probably the only stock thing on my car is the shortblock. But right now i just want something fun to drive since i am still in school and only working part-time adn i drive this as a DD most of the time except when its snowing out.

I wouldn't be worried about the tube from the S/C to the throttlebody as much as the bracketry that holds the S/C and the alignment of the serpentine belt. The Fox and SN95 belt setup is not the same.
