So, I will be ordering a set of MHS Stage 1 PI Blower Cams w/ Degree service & TF Adjustable Crank Gears tomorrow morning.

At this point, I am making between 9 and 11 psi, depending on the temp outside. When my dyno tune was done it was approx 80 degrees and I made just a lil shy of 390 at the wheels, and exactly 435 rwtq.

What predictions do you have for the dyno numbers after I install the cams? Also, I will be removing my X-Pipe (which I welded a set of catco cats on to, to pass emissions) and installing an off road h-pipe at the same time.

What do you guys think?

450/475 with a conservative tune.

When will it be getting tuned?

Depends on how long it takes to get them, and the weather outside. I wont be driving it if there is salt on the roads. One more thing, I am still running the stock fuel pump with a boost a pump and 36 lb injectors, do you guys think that is going to cut it?

I think that if I see rwhp north of 430 i may be purchasing a larger diameter pulley to lower the boost. I dont want to toss a rod.

The cams & h-pipe have been ordered, h-pipe will be here monday, not sure about the cams. Thank you MHS & AM for the mil discount... much appreciated.

Now for the waiting game.

I will honestly be very surprised if it makes more than 430. I am expecting to be somewhere between 415 and 430 at the wheels. At that point I AM DONE putting go fast parts on it until I get a built shortblock. Any money being thrown at it from this point forward will be going towards suspension parts.

Hmmm made 409/39x before my stage 2.5 blower cams at 9psi. After the smaller pulley and cams made 444/489 on a daily conservative tune.

I know everyones been throwing numbers om here....but are you sure your fuel set up is safe? Ive been told that @80% duty cycle 36 tap at 380~390, obviously this is a mathematical equation using .6 bfsc to get an estimation on duty cycle. 42lbs are rated at about 450 . Though your tune is considered heavily of course. Honestly I would run 42s and get yourself a better pump. I don't know the stock capacity limits on the pump, though the techs at tork tech told me 400+...upgrade. i'm sure someone on here will argue otherwise. I say better safe than sorry.

Also..are you still running the stock bottom??

Yeah, im not sure what is going to happen with the fuel... Kenne Bell claims that the BAP and a stock pump with their 36 lb injectors can feed 500 rwhp with their 14 psi pulley. Granted, I know that KB is generous with their numbers, but here's hoping. I really dont want to have to buy injectors and a pump when i get it tuned. That would be really bad for me to try to explain it to the mrs. I am at odds with why KB would supply 36 lb injectors with their kits, you would think they would use at least 42's. What ever... If it starts to go lean on the dyno I will pull the 36's out, sell them, sell my pi cams, and my 4.10's and get some 60 lb injectors. If my fuel pump isnt cutting it, then ill get a walbro pump and be done with it... although i hope i dont have to. (turns out focus pumps dont work with boost-a-pumps)

Yeah I hear you...the mrs. has had it up to here with my built...but I can't tell you what the gt pump taps out at...i'm curious to be honest. I just went balls out so to speak and bought 60s, cobra tank with dual walbros to be safe...but I can guarantee there is more than a handful of folks on here running the set up you have and maybe they will chime in?
I think you see 420~430 with the cams if fuel holds out.I'd just be wary of the tune with that stock block ya know? But good vibes haha good luck man!

Update:

The cams should be in the mail this week. Bullitt took their time (due to the holidays) getting MHS my cams for Mr. McKinney to degree. Since I have been somewhat bored and anticipating their arrival, I went ahead and prepped the motor for the cam swap. All that is left to do at this point is remove the chains, cams etc... and I am waiting to do that when my cams are here.

Also, the power steering pump bolt behind the pressure line is my new worst enemy!!! Oh yeah, and i could punch the engineer in the face who decided to put a studded valve cover bolt on the passenger side right next to the shock tower and a/c lines (which i in turn dropped and is now stuck somewhere in my headers). I need a beer.

If your extremely bored. Order a SVT Focus pump to be on the safe side. I know KB claims their 36lbers and BAP with stock FP will be fine to 500rwhp, but I wouldn't push it if I were you. Hell, I think I'm pushing my setup with just a SVT Focus pump and 36lbers with a Vortech that's making 380/378. DC wasn't bad, but high IAT's and a possible lean spike worries me.

I put an svt focus pump in last week and did the pprv delete / drilled holes in the basket while I was in there. Hopefully the 36lbers will be up to the task.

389 RWHP, 434 RWTQ

Paint those cam covers and the front engine cover while they're off. I painted my cam covers silver and the front cover gloss black when I did my cam swap. It turned out really nice.

If I made those numbers after a cam swap I would kick my tuner in the junk.

Nah... cars in storage until spring and I didn't take any yet.

Trust me though it really cleans up the look. I used engine enamel in a rattle can. You could also do what 98Cobra281 did and paint the cam covers silver and the front cover Ford engine blue... then it would go along with the blue color of your car

Yea, I thought about painting mine. But I wanted to keep a stock appearance.

And also. I'd recommend going ahead and at least removing the tensioners. They can be quite a pain to figure out, especially if you've never done it before.

update:
cams are in
i didnt paint anything
i am disappointed in the sound as of right now, hopefully my tuner has some sort of trick up his sleeve to make the car sound somewhat 'cammed' / im sure ill be happy with the numbers it makes. when compared to the vid of the stage 1 pi blower cammed bullitt on you tube, my car sounds almost completely stock.

ill post a vid up soon
