There not letting me into the Jeep forums. So I thought I would ask you guys.
I bought a Jeep 2 days ago with a warrenty and all that for 6K. My warrenty only works with a hundred dollar dectuable. The power steering pump pulley exploded on me while starting it in a parking lot. I found a couple pieces and found out it was was made of plastic.
What do you think could cause this? Pulley misagliament? Or will old pulleys do this? The truck has 96,000 miles on it. It's a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.9L in it.

Also I know Jeep isnt great. Did anybody hear any really bad promblems with the 98 5.9L limiteds?
