$1.83 for 87! That was a couple days ago, so it probably went down since then!

what major city are youy close to. I just went to Austin like 5 weeks ago and I went to lubbock, tx 1 week ago. That is about the same prices they had in those two citys.

I'm up in Surprise. It is down to $1.99 a gallon for 87, $2.09 for 89 and $2.19 for 91. It's getting a little better.

Why are so many people that are answering risking harm to their engines by using 87 octane?

Last fill up was around 1.61 for 90 Octane Gas. That's one of the main reasons I don't wanna come back to the states. The gas price is crazy nowadays. I still can pay around 25 dollars and get a full tank of gas over here.

0 for me right now. Drive a company car all the time, and the mustang is still in pieces going through it's extreme makeover.

I just use the chevron 87 and I have my timing at 8 degrees. I don't know what else it would hurt. Plus I had stalling problems and ford told me to run 87.

Gas has gone way down here (Arkansas) in the last few days. It is anywhere from $1.74-$1.82 for 87. I have always run 93 octane for some reason, even when the GT was stock so I am used to paying more anyway. The gas prices really don't bother me though. Don't get me wrong, I wish it was cheaper but think of how much money you waste in a week anyway. I find that if I cut out a few stops at Arby's or Taco Bell a week, it more than makes up for it.

If you dont have Boost and your timing is stock or lower then running 87 won't hurt at all. I have my timing set high and can't find my timing light so i am stuck at 13 or 14* i want to go down a bit.
