il see what i can do, put together a few diferent ones and show the guy, see what he thinks of it.. Theyll probably be made into 1/4 window stickers for the members cars, if people are willing to stick em on,lol..

BTW zach, you should come to the next meeting, get together any other mustang buddies you know of, (lochheart,ect)
We havent set a meeting day yet since last time we just got the ok from Sonic to have a meet up ( parking right up front, reserved). Il find out more, and let you know. Last week we had like 10+ 93-up stands show up.. None being stock. Yours would fit right in

Go with the 3/4 shot of the fox on cobra's. A similar shot of a sn95 with a good stance (wheels, tires, lowered) would look great too.
Our 94-95 (horozontal tail lights) cars probably would serve the best because they cross over 2 "generations" of stangs. The last of the efi 5.0 (mid-80's), the first of the newer-looking body styles (94-04). But of course, in a 94-95 forum, you are going to get a different response than in a fox forum, or a 4.6 forum.

yeah, i could imagine a lot of us are biased in here. if it were me, i take the photoshopped images and show them to the actual members, and hold a vote amongst the club.

if i were making one, id have something similar to the 3 car image, except have sonic in the center standing tough. that might not work in black and white 2D animation though.

First off... remember where I'm coming from. I'm a print/web designer. Plus a club owner myself, so this is just my advice... take it or leave it, just trying to help from my experiences.

Don't use Sonic the Hedgehog. Your club is small now, but no one says you will be later on. I started with 3 members. Two years later we're up to 360+ and 65 that visit daily. I've sold 70+ shirts and probably that many more decals.

Changing a logo idea down the road sucks. You basically shaft all your members making them buy new t-shirts, decals, etc.

Oh and yes, they can and have copyrighted the hedgehog. It's not that he's a hedgehog it's the way he's drawn. There is a reason you think he's kewl and so does everyone else on here. He's famous.

Now to the picky stuff. The images you are posting will have to be screen printed on clear plastic. Unless you buy a lot, it'll be pretty expensive. Sure fire recipe for a club disaster. I highly recommend making a vector logo so you can vinyl decals cut. Much cheaper and you can have them made in any size and any color. Those picky stangers can match their car.

More recommendations... think of a cool URL and BUY IT immediately. That will be your best bet for getting more members and sponsors. Even if your website is just a one pager with phone number or email address. You need an easy to remember web URL to get people's attention. For example, do you think a person that sees a nice stang with one of those decals is going to hang out by the car til you come out of the mall to find out how to join? Highly unlikely. A website is the cheapest universal way to keep your contact info available and updated. I have business cards from 4 years ago. I've moved twice in those 4 years. But my cards are still good because they just have my name, my domain name, and my email address. None of which have changed. When I moved I updated my address on my website. ;-)

Okay, that's enough rambling. To answer your original question, the white fox is by far the best one so far. It has the right contrast, angle and is the "ideal" body style for "hey that's a mustang!"

Thanks for the advise paul.. Lots to concider.

Im not the person in charge, although i might end up getting stuck with that title, lol. Heck, we arent really even a club yet, but last week there were about 10-12 stangs that showed up ready to be a part of this, so it looks promissing.
I took it apon myself to give the cub that name, and make a logo to use for flyers, decals, and maybe t shirts if it goes that far. So as it stands, next month i will meet up with Ray (the guy whos idea this was) and present him with the name, and some example logos.

For the images you see, they are just rough ideas done in JPEG.. Once i get an idea i like, and others agree on, i will do it up in Illustrator, the right way. More then likely have someone else print the decals off.. Since i dont even have a printer, lol, and dont wana mess with screen printing.

Not a bad way to test a club.... but when you start pulling 35+ gig of bandwidth a month like mine does, you learn the hard way that you get what you pay for. I've had to move my websites 4 times. The unlimited storage or bandwidth is a no no. They can't possibly control their users and will quickly become overloaded. Been there done that. Your forum will crawl and be down more than up. Moving a heavily modded forum is a pain in the arse. Combine that with a reseller account with 10 other websites and the joys of freelance become a nightmare of endless non-paying work.

See, at this point nothing is well formed and organized, so im just brainstorming right now.
Yes, there is already a Daytona mustang club.. they are a very BORING, group of old folks that basically just sit around at the monthly meetings and bull****

Our club, if we do get somthing going here, will definatly be a happening group of energetic friendly folks, with moddified late model mustangs.. Dyno days, track days, meetings, BBQ's, ect.

Dont have a name set yet, but since we got started at Sonic, i figured that would be nice to incorperate in the name.

As far as a website, or forum goes.. Im not going to handle any of that.. I mean im willing to help with graphics and layout, but not hosting and webmaster or a site, or forum. Too much work, not enough time, you know the drill. So well how that all pans out.
