OT: Rice or not

What do you guys think are Altezza rice ona stang.

By the way I don't have them and don't plan on it. Just trying to strick any interesting debate

Isent the term rice mean that you portray your car to be faster then it really is b/c of all the stickers, stupid wing, body kit, coffe can muffler and then trying to convince people that its a 12 second car?

so how is putting those lights on a stang make it rice, does the owner all of a sudden think that its a cobra killer b/c of it


so all you guys are saying that just b/c theres something popular that the import guys do then its automaticly rice even if its something that looks good when done right on some domestics I guess its rice to if someone put a windshield banner on there car at the top that says MUSTANG GT, you know b/c ricers have all kinds of stickers and banners saying what there cars are so we cant do it b/c it would be labed as rice...........

It makes me laugh at how out of touch some of you guys are w/ what the term "rice" really means, its funny b/c alot of you have no idea at all and just go along w/ the popular answer just to sound " cool "

I agree. On dark colored stangs, the chrome altezzas look nasty but I do like the carbon fiber altezzas instead though. On white stangs the chrome altezzas do look good if you have the clear headlights and that.

But most of the time people dont do it right and it looks like crap. But i will say it can be done right...you just have to choose the chrome or carbon fiber altezzas to match the rest of your car.

BTW, you guys have taken this "rice" thing to a whole new level....haha comedy.

you guys get your panties in a bunch tooooooooo much. Everyone here is on the internet. What someone will consider rice, the next guy will consider cool. Having a wing on your car is rice, but if its on a 900 hp mustang going through a road course, its a-ok. Too much contradiction. We should quit using the word "rice" and just say "that doesnt suit my taste".

I agree with saying that it doesn't suit my taste, but how is that a contradiction. In the event of a 900hp mustang, the wing will be functional, it will actually do something. But having a wing on a 200-300hp car will not be functional besides looking good(if it even does that). I dont see the contradiction. I just agree that guys took the word "rice" where it meant putting outrageous things like HUGE wings on slow a$$ cars to using the word to describe something that they dont think looks good.

Regardless, i could really care less about who uses what word. Its just funny how things change. Big deal....

Whatever you call it it looks like sh**. Those lights do not belong on a mustang. As far as I am concerned Altezza taillights look good on Altezzas but thats it. Everytime I see someone put those lights on anything else, civic, eclispse, jetta, integra, camaro, I hate them but putting them on a stang is a ****ing disgrace IMO. I hate those sytle lights so much if I bought a new lightning the one with the clear tail lights. I would take them off and put regular F150 tails. Thats how much I hate the clear taillight fad. Vent over.

If you like them, go ahead and putem on yer car. You need to be happy with yer ride even if others do not like it.

Personally I would not put those on my car. But my reasons may differ from others.

The reason I would not put those on my car is because I happen to dig the stock vertical lights that are on the sn95. Those stocker lights scream 5.0.

I am a very proud 5.0 owner.

Rice, rice... baby! I can admit I fell for the "cool thing to have" - put them on the car right before a car show.... my gut kept saying no. They lasted less than a week. Cost me $199 and I sold them for $50 Best money losing decision I ever made.
