I also belive that if you like it run with it.. It is YOUR car after all, but may I point out, orange neon under your 'stang, may in fact, be rice. Not 'cause it's neon, 'cause it's color coordinated!

Just kidding if that's your car...

Isent the term rice mean that you portray your car to be faster then it really is b/c of all the stickers, stupid wing, body kit, coffe can muffler and then trying to convince people that its a 12 second car?

so how is putting those lights on a stang make it rice, does the owner all of a sudden think that its a cobra killer b/c of it

so all you guys are saying that just b/c theres something popular that the import guys do then its automaticly rice even if its something that looks good when done right on some domestics I guess its rice to if someone put a windshield banner on there car at the top that says MUSTANG GT, you know b/c ricers have all kinds of stickers and banners saying what there cars are so we cant do it b/c it would be labed as rice...........

It makes me laugh at how out of touch some of you guys are w/ what the term "rice" really means, its funny b/c alot of you have no idea at all and just go along w/ the popular answer just to sound " cool "

maybe it's rice, but i kinda like his underglow, and since he's got the power to back it up he can do whatever the hell he wants... well almost whatever (excluding painting your car purple with pink highlights)

edit: i just notice that it's also an awesome pic because the smoke is comeing up and through the dogleg (side scoop thing on the doors)- looks rad!!!

wow alot of people quoted me on my first post, thanks for the support on what I said. If you take a stock stang w/ a stock exterior and rims and throw those lights on it then it looks like crap. In other cases it looks really nice when the car is done right. Either way its not rice just b/c the Import guys do it. This whole "RICE" term has gotten so out of wack that people are calling the Saleen Double stack wing "RICE" just b/c its a big wing. HELLO PEOPLE ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUPID!!!!!! That wing has been around since it came on the Slaeen 351 Mustang back in 1995 long befor anyone even know what rice or modding an import even was. Anyone that dares to call a factory option on a Saleen Mustang rice needs a swift kick in the ass

You're really pulling the underglow lights off, looks good on your car.

You really shouldn't be talking about peoples car. You have a DIY flame thrower kit, mismatch body parts, and you sprayed painted your intake while it was on the car. All of these things seems like the ricer do.

I do agree that people people don't know what the real definition for rice but I kinda respect those guys because they don't care what everyone else think about their car. If they like it then forget what everyone else think. I respect them but that doesn't mean they don't do some stupid crap like tons of stickers, mismatch paint/body parts, fart mufflers, and the big ass wing.

Dude...that vid was SWEET! I agree with the majority...U gotta like ur ride b4 u worry about what others like...Also, if u can pull of something that is commonly misused or distasteful, all the better for u. I wouldn't personally install clear tails, but thats me. If it compliments ur ride, go for it!

To each his own I guess.... to me your car seems confused. Mine at least has a theme now and I'm sticking to it. My drag wheels even match. Last w/e my club went to the Car Club Challenge at the local track. I walked away with the "best late model muscle car" plaque..... neons and all.

Thanks for the compliments on the video. I've posted them before, but here are all the videos from that day. I only did 3 burnouts and those stock V-6er tires were gone.

http://100mphclub.com/b_pages/psu_burnout_movies.htm

Oh and as far as I know the car is the stock height. I'm scared to lower it as I still bottom out in places.

Agreed again, Striped...you're just full of good points, aren't ya. As far as I'm concerned, projection style lights are a great addition. They "project"....therefore, farther sight at night means less deer and less deer on your hood is not rice.

projection style lights may not be rice, but I think they are ugly and would never put them on my car no matter how well they worked.

Thanks I try to be

I have clear dimmond head lights on mine and I never tried to convince anyone that it shaved 2ths off my 1/4 time b/c of it.

Theres to many people on here that are to scared to do anything to there car b/c of what other people might think b/c it could be "RICE" I really wish I had the time or money to gather up all the misguided and misinformed people on here and give them a big lecture and presentation on what rice really is.

Just annoys me to the point of getting a migrane when people are to quick to point out that..........ohhh Ohh look, thats rice....ohh ohhh look over there thats rice too, when in fact they have no idea what there talking about. Its gotten to the point that anything and everything we do to our cars could be cinsiderd rice to some misinformed people, so what are we stuck w/ now......no exterior mods and stock rims so we dont have to be in fear of our car being rice

if only they would make guidelines as to what rice is....i could write the book, I think I have a great understanding of it. And on that understanding, I drive around with plenty of honda guys....thing is, these guys are the guys that live by "go before show". Although their civics and such look a little wacky, at least two of my import tuner colleagues pack at least 300 horsepower (before juice) out of a compact car. How could anyone call that rice if they have rims and a fartcan? To me, the only way anybody can judge a car ricey is to see it in person, look under the hood, and take a ride. If it's an 88 prelude, with rustholes, and a double stack....yes....it's very much rice. (I've seen plenty of those up here)

1105:

Do you know if anyone on here actually has pics of projection style headlights on the stang? I'd like to see it to see how it looks, you might be completely right...
