OTC valve spring compressor

Hey guys

I'm tearing down my engine to check on the lifters since I think one has gone bad. It's a 2001 GT.

I know I need the OTC 7928 Ford valve spring compressor tool.
But this one guy I was talking to said you need a tool for the intake valve springs and an extra tool for the exhaust valve springs.

Is that true or does the 7928 otc tool take care of both?

sounds like complete bs to me. both valves have the same geometry up top by the cams and springs. one tool should do it.

You don't need to compress the valves to check or remove the lash adjustors. Just unbolt the cam caps a little at a time remove the cam and you can pull all of the lash adjustors reinstall new and reinstall the cam the reverse order of removal.

Good point, thats how I do it... I think the tool is something like $150
