Have been absent from the forums for the last few years, and am now looking to obtain another FOX bodied Mustang. Interested in what you PA guys are doing to help with emissions testing. My county does require it, however I do have family in counties that do not.

Questions?...

Can I "change my address" by listing the family members address at the time I purchase a car and register it?

Anyone have their "daily driver" tagged classic and yet still drive it often?

I understand that buying an out of state car and titling it in PA would require an emissions test the first time. Subsequent years would be exempt.

Depending on the car purchased, I would eventually be running with no smog pump/lines/cats, so really looking for ideas from others to see what the pros and cons of each are in order to avoid the emissions testing for my particular county.

THANKS

Its not my daily but I have mine tagged classic. I could drive it every day and no one would know any different. Best way to by pass the emissions deal.

just found out that the guy who has the car i'm looking at still has the air pump and the factory h pipe with the cats. So i guess i'll be doing the pipe swap to get it inspected in pa for now, then look at other ideas later.
Probably do the classic car tags

For classic tags in PA you need 2 things. Insurance stating that its classic and photos one head on one from the rear and one on each side (hmm guess thats 5 things)
The more stock the better - wheels are about the only thing that will get you so just find a set of factory wheels and youre good.
You never have to register the car again and you never have emissions again.

Do you still have to have your Annual Inspection?
