Painless electric fan relay kit, how do you wire manual override switch?

I just received my painless electric fan kit that turns on the fan at 185 degrees and off at 170. I was wondering how you wire a manual override switch. Here is the wiring diagram.

the easy way is to splice into the wire that comes off the relay and goes to the sensor. run a second wire that goes to the switch, and then to ground. that way you can flip on the fan if you need to, or you can leave it in automatic operation.

Splice in a wire from the sensor wire (black wire) Run that wire to the switch. Run another wire from the other switch pole to ground.
