Well, it took a couple months longer than planned, but the paint on the '87 is finally done! The roof is being cut and buffed and that portion will be back in about a day. I was planning on waiting until I had the doors hung back on to take pictures, but I could not wait. In one of the pictures you can kinda see how cool the green is and in a couple others you can at least see what the graphics and overall look of the car will be.

None of these photos do the paint justice. It is soooooooo brilliant. The mad dash to get the turbo motor back into this car and finish off the interior is officially on!!

That looks great? I'll bet we will be able to see your car from space. Who did the paint work?

Steve Hall, of Kaos Rods did the paint. He is just outside of Snohomish. He had some personal things going on and we ran into an issue at one point with trying to use vinyl sticker to mask the graphics. So, it did take a couple months longer than planned, but the wait was worth it. I am very pleased>

The black interior will be nice, but nothing fance for now. Just a bright silver cage, custom seats, and some sort of custom console. The engine bay will just be basic black as well, but the motor between the shock towers is about as "oh wow" as the paint. Overall, the car is goint to be pretty neat.

Next winter I will proceed with the mini-tub and 12" wide wheels and see about having the engine bay smoothed and painted to match the car. Of course, I will have to start pimping out my girlfriend now to have more cash by then!!

Hey, if you get it back together the biggest cruise- in on the Oregon Coast is the week after Labor Day...your not that far from here. Would be really great to see it in person...not to mention you'd get a kick out of everyone drooling over it. Just a thought to ponder. There are more and more coming in every year.
