paint removal off chrome?

what's the best way to remove old paint off stainless window trim? also what can be done to remove the haziness on the trim and bring back some of the shine?

Fine steel wool, then metal polish like Wenol or Simichrome.

yep, fine steel wool, then Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish.

just to clarify, i would only use #0000 steel wool,this is the "very fine" grade,anything less MIGHT leave more scratches.

Use bronze wool instead of steel wool - it won't scratch the stainless trim. Bronze wool is also great at removing paint from glass - again, it's too soft to scratch the glass.
