Well 2 and a half years of greasy fingernails and dipping into my sons college fund (jk) and the car is finally (we know its never "finished") done. here are a couple of pics. A lot of you were wondering what a shaved cowl finished out looks like, Ill post a pic of that.

Looks great! I even like the looks of the shaved cowl and how the faux Shelby hood lines up with it. Cool

Skip the strip on put the 67/8 rocker panel molding and call it done again.

The car came with those moldings on there, im not a big fan of extra chrome, so i removed them and welded up the holes. If you notice I also didnt put the drip rail molding on and even considered painting the bumpers. Diff'rent strokes for Diff'rent folks i guess. I want a stripe of some kind, just got to figure out what color.

Hi,
It looks good! I'd add the strip and drop an 1", or so.But then, that's my road race face showing.
Happy Trails!

Well ive already lowered the front 1" with 620 springs, my next plan is to add the Shelby Drop to get that extra little bit....plus those are brand new springs, im hoping they will settle a little bit after a couple hundred miles. Got new rear leafs coming this week to get the a$$ of the car back up a little bit, (still ordered 1" lower than stock) they are worn out and bottom out when i hit a good bump.

looks great to me. I am a big fan of the stripes, but it also looks good without them... your call. If it were mine, I'd think about doing the stripes in a dark grey

Gray is high on my list, or silver, or maybe even red.....considered Hertz Gold, but the wife said no to that one...

Couple more pics:

Interior...i know the door panel is missing, but im waiting on window sweeps to come in first.

Front end...got to get me a Cobra or something for the grille, and that filler piece for the trim in the middle.

I just think mustang tail lights are a think of beauty...

Nice! I really like the shaved cowl and ducktail spoiler.

I almost got the guy who painted mine (years ago) to do the cowl, but I'm glad I didn't. He probably would have F'ed that up too.

Well, my cowl aint perfect....you can see (not in the pictures) where there is a low spot on both sides where they patched the grilles...we blocked it 4 times and missed it, oh well. The good thing is its the cowl area and its confined, so if i ever have to fix it again, thats the only area i need to worry with. And the spoiler makes the car.....it gives it that muscle car look.

Thanks...i love the wheel....since i have power steering i could get rid of that huge factory wheel and makes it a lot easer it get in and out of the seat.
Ebay special...
