I am going to be installing my Griggs panhard bar tomorrow. I was told by the guys at Griggs that they do all of their bars on lifts. Anyone ever do their bar on a lift? Do you have any tips of what to do?

Here's what they said to do.

Jack until I hit the bump stops. (what are the bump stops?)
Take out the rear springs.
Lift the car and then let it rest on tranny jacks until the car is almost off of the lift.

Sounds easy. I just want to make sure that when I weld it, that nothing will hit when I lower it.

When I put in mine (maximum motorsports I think), I used jack stands.

Maybe not recommended but it seemed to work. I was able to get the jackstand on the tubes of the rear end, and got the front end on stands as well. I got the car as close to level as I could, then mocked everyting up.

Good luck
