She looks really good Chuck. Love that color. Where abouts do you live? I agree, the color looks great against the flat black in the overcast in your driveway. Looks like the trees are turning.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice car, that's the only one out now that has
made me think about getting rid of my SA 20.

How powerful does it feel?
It's got what an extra 100 NA ponies right?
I'm figuring it should run the 1/4 as fast as an SC saleen.

I dig the car, but i could do without the big number (hope that's not sacraligous to you guys) and don't care for billet gas cap either.

Thanks for the input guys! Looks like a good bunch over here just like the mustangforums site.

the car is FAST. Most people will tell you the throttle response on a high compression NA motor feels faster in the 'seat of the pants' feel. I haven't gotten on it in the high rev ranges, but it will throw you back with its 390 ft lbs or torque.

The number decals on the hood and the doors is static cling vinyl decals. Mainly for looking good at car shows and such. I usually don't have them on the vehicle (but for pics... sure!)

The shaker hood scoop is functional. The air actually goes in there. I've seen a few GTs that have the shaker 'look' but use a cone air filter.

Thanks,

Chuck

Congrats!

Pictures do NOT do this car justice...you have to see it in person.

It is absolutly beautiful! (I got to sit it one while touring the SALEEN plant last month).

Congrats - I can't wait to see this car in person again.

Tony

Thanks for the thoughts, tbrod.

From what I hear, these things are selling fast, although I haven't seen anyone else who has one at home yet (on the boards)

Another quick pic....

Is the 302 in this car a stroked version of the 4.6 or is it a new block all together like the one that will be in the next gen stang?

I've searched the net and even saleens site and can't seem to find a answer.

It's a 4.6 3V stroked to a 302 5.0, also with forged internals, a lighter valvetrain, higher compression, and changed out flywheel / pulley.

Oh yeah, and the thing rumbles....
