I am like a piranha....there will be nothing left. The last car I parted the tow driver had to be monetarily encouraged to tow it away as there was nothing left and it barely resembled a car.

Cant do that. The shipping company requires the title. Cant get the title with all this back tax. Trust me...it all sounds good in theory but until you have lived in this place you would not understand the absolutely ridiculous rules and laws we have here. I won't get into politics but to say there is one party here...and they have been in 100% power for generations. Everyone bitches, complains and then runs out and votes the party line. Just look at our "rail system" fiasco.....

The car can not go anywhere without forking over the 6k. It is a parts car.

If there is any kind of tax or fines tied to the vin you pretty much can't do anything with it.

Well shipping from Hawaii is out so you will have to part it out on the islands then right?
Hopefully you can get out of it what you have into it.
What about the carcass? Here in Utah you cant get rid of one without the title either

They haul it for scrap metal, no title required.

I try. Unfortunately it is beyond my power. Like I said, everyone complains...and then hits that big ole' "D" on the ticket every time.

Wish this popped up last week. I could have bought the hatch latch off you.

I might need the wiring though. Unknown yet. Going to see if I can make what I have work.

I will save everyone the typing. No matter where it got registered you have 30 days to transfer your car to Hawaii plates from out of state plates, and when you do they require your shipping papers proving you shipped the car from another state to Hawaii. No mail in registration would work. I have lived here 35 years and know the system well. Even if registered in another state the second I would try to switch it to Hawaii plates again the vin gets input and all the alarms would go off on back taxes and outstanding violations. Thanks for th suggestions, I do appreciate it but Hawaii is a different kind of place.

Anyone need any parts?

Tell me about it...and that shipping cost is also when I order stuff. A $25 dollar part that you guys will get free shipping on sometimes costs me more for shipping than the part costs.

Well at least the locals can tell you from the tourists in your Mustang
They do not rent them over there or do they?

There isn't anyone here thinking that I'm a tourist. They rented fox convertibles all through the mid 80s into the early 90s. Now the popular rental car seems to be camaro convertibles. You will get run off the road on a daily basis by some japanese girl driving one

With your fleet of stout Foxbodies, you could probably make a few nickels renting one out here and there.
