On my 2004 stang, the passenger window sqeak's (I guess owould be the best way of explaining it) when it has about 1 inch left to go up. So when I power window that side, when it is almost to the top, you hear this funny little noise, for about .5 seconds, wtf is it?? It gets annoying, help!

thanx,
abel

Huh...imagine that...have any of you taken it to a dealer to see what the probelm is? I mean it's not that bad...really it's not, but for a brand new car (and my dream car, well, not a 6, but a stang!) I thought it wouldn't do this until I hit 1,000 miles, lol

So is it just a nothin' problem, something wrong, and no one fixes it or what? Atleast now, I know I don't have a lemon car!

Heh, nothings really wrong. It's just poor quality right out of the plant. Don't worry, your windows not gonna fall out or anything .

well if it makes you feel any better. Ford has released a new type of motor for the windows that is supposed to be higher quality and last longer(well ford sells it at least). I had to have my drivers replaced. My passenger window is just slow, but it works.

I don't think it will need to be replaced...because now it hasn't done it all day, I don't know...I'll leave it alone until something MAJOR happens (knocks on wood hoping it won't) then I will have the FORD dealer take care of it, **** I have a 5yr, 75K warrenty!

2002+ windows have very tight seals and that's all that you're hearing.

well what you have to do is remove the antenna then mount it up under your passanger fenderwell, then get the antenna part shaven down and re-painted (thats the part i'm waiting on the money for.) then you get a signal booster (if you want its optional) for about $30-$50 depending on where you go and hook it up and you're good as new. However, with my XM I never use the FM anyway

I discovered the window thing when I installed the one touch passanger side window thingamabobber.

Hmmmm, how would you mount the antenna under there? Is there a way to get a shorter antenna somewhere? AutoZone?

you can cut the antenna and epoxy it back in (see the how-to's on mustangworld.com) but I don't think it's too trustworthy. I was quoted $300 for shaving it down and painting it back to match, not bad but too much for me right now. i'm sitll working on hte performance aspect.
