patriot or port/polish???

does anyone know what will flow more air?? i found a set of patriot stage 1 heads for a good price but port/polish would be cheaper however. i have a 04 gt s/c with really low boost and in process to making more. i bought some new cams and springs and whatnot and want to get more flow so i want to port/polish or buy a set of good heads. any suggestions??

I didn't know Patriot ever did a set of Stage 1 heads..................

Go to that guy's ^^^^ website, (Modularheadshop - MHS) and do some research. If you want ported heads, he's the guy to talk to.

Although, been hearing good things about Trick Flow, that price needs to come down some. Just for some Cylinder-heads?

Tell me about it. They are bloody expensive. Great stuff though. If they were cheaper they would sell like crazy.

I think the general consensus on the Trickflow heads is that the small gain below 6000 rpm over stock ported heads is worth nothing CLOSE to the amount of money that they cost. I know I'd never buy a set of them to put on a stock shortblock car.

Now if you were spinning it out to 7000+ rpm on a built shortblock, that's a different story.

One real nice feature of the of the TrickFlow heads is they have replaceable cam caps. It seems small, but I see a lot of mod motors at work that are throw away due to oil starvation to the cams.
