Hey, i installed a novi 2000 on my mustang and need to know how you reach the belt tensioner with a wrench in order to install the belt and wrap it around the power steering pump pulley. any help would be appreciated, thanks
I don't know if its the same but I need a helper when I put my D1sc belt on. I use a breaker bar from the bottom and the helper (girlfriend) puts the belt over the water pump.
gear wrench belt tool. this is great and makes it very easy. it stays in the trunk on my car with a spare belt. i had a problem with my belts shredding on my novi 2K a few years back. that tool makes it simple to change them out
One thing to remember is you have to do is unbolt the long bracket spacer in order to put the belt on and then reinstall that spacer. You can use just a 3/8 drive ratchet to slack the tensioner. Just put the ratchet into the square hole and torque down. A two man crew to do this works great. One holding the tensioner down, the other slipping the belt onto the accessories.
