WTF?

A shop blew your motor when they installed the supercharger, AND charged you $6500 dollars for the whole deal?

Holy **** I would be beyond pissed.

So he blew it up trying to get 400hp out of it?

If so, did he ask you if he could further tune it, did you tell him you wanted him to do that, or did he just do it himself?

That is why the owner should be present when tuning is going on if at all possible.

Sorry to hear that happened, if the shop is any good they will assist you in replacment since they blew it up trying to milk more power out of it, from the way it sounds.

What fuel injector are you using? I bet he tried to get 400 and it leaned out big time and did some bad stuff. These block dont just blow holes - they are good to 600hp. That's a tuning problem.

i have read post thread three times and all i got was......blower big hole 6500 pick up with no run.....wow!!! if the shop blew your motor up while tuning then they are responsible partially if not fully for the blown motor. that is their job to tune safely. now if you told him to go to 400hp no matter what then you are looking at alot of the blame. more info is needed but i am scared to ask cause my eyes might melt in my skull!!

Not everyone has perfect grammar, so instead of bashing it let, someone sift through it and pull out some info, and lets help the guy out.

Another thing to keep in mind, the block itself will hold alot of power; but when a rod lets go under alot of power and RPM, they tend to do a good job of making and exit out of the block.

Good point about the rod making the hole.

Are you going to ask them for a new engine?

That is really poor that they blew your engine up and charged you $6500.

Did the $6500 cover the supercharger, installation, and tuning?

Grand total of $8500.00
That is a true fleecing of the customer. I would take them to small claims court if you didn't sign a waiver for release of liability. Not to sound rude, but are you a United States citizen? If not, then legal actions will likely not get very far. Sorry to hear about the ripoff.

They are ripping you off horribly.

Tell them you want the problem fixed, or you will be contacting a lawyer about taking further action.
