Pedal Assembly Out!

I removed the auto pedal assembly and now I am going to change the quandrant on the back of the new assembly. The two plastic factory ones come off right?
Also what about the two large springs attached to the plastic quadrant?

Do I still use them?

Wasn't too hard getting assembly out. After I disconnected the brake pedal assy.

Any advise in putting them back in will be appreciated!! Should I remove the pedals?

The more I look at this, I think i'll disconnect the steering shaft and the rubber boot at the firewall and just pull the whole steering column out of the way. Then reinstall the clutch pedal assembly!! I just have to figure out how to disconnect the cable that runs down to the shifter.That's all that's holding it in place.

yep, remove those hair pins from the posts and remove that old 2 piece nasty yellow quad. you dont need the springs......just keep the two hair pins for putting the new one piece quad on. i take it you'll be buying a fire wall adjuster and after market quadrant....i attached a pic below.....you can see the new quad is just one piece easily slipped over the posts on the pedal assembly after it's in the car.

you don't have to put the new quad on untill the pedal assembly is back in the car.........the new one piece ones are easy to put on after the fact and it will give you more room to get the pedal assembly in.

i un bolted my clutch pedal......left it off till i was ready to put the t-5 in actually but.......to answer your question it's probably easier with the clutch pedal off.......you can re attach it after the pedal assebly is back in place.......you cant really take the brake pedal off as it would be a real pain trying to get that bolt back in, if you even could......so just the clutch pedal ......

I thought so!! I bought the adjuster for the firewall and a new cable assembly from Pro 5.0.
The quadrant he sold me only mounts on the pivot where the large quadrant was. Is there another piece or is this thing just a guide for the cable under the dash??

I looked in Summit catalog and all the other quadrants have two holes!!

uhhhhhhhhhh......it doesnt have two holes in it?? not familiar with that quad design.......i'd have to see a pic of it.........although im sure someone else may know what the deal is

Just check my CJ Pony catalog! The Steeda and the BBK and Ford Quadrant all have two holes for mounting. Whats up with this one!!!
