HEy everyone i'm thinking about buying a chip for my 91 GT but dont know which one. What is the best chip to buy for my car with my mods? (refer to sig for mods)
What do you guys run? Different computer or stock one and just add a chip?
Thanks for the help fellas.
Also what do you think i'd pick up HP wise?

if the chip is not being burnt particularly for your combination of parts then the off the shelf chip for an N/A set up offers you nothing that you can't achieve by simply bumping the timing. Very likely if you're running a well set up tune presently, the chip will not net you one damn thing. These brand X chips are only increasing the timing...they have absolutely no affect on FP or the A/F curve what so ever. You want a chip that works..get one burnt during a dyno tune..but first save your cash and see what the dyno tells you if ones available.

Aha gotcha thanks for the tip. I'm going to Dyno the car when i get home in 6 weeks so i'll look into a custom burnt chip then.

You may not even need it if you find everything is good. The chips can be VERY expensive to get done, if your current tune seems to be making decent #'s (know what to expect going in) and the A/F is well positioned and smooth, then finish up your pulls and save the cash for another day. The Chips are great for correcting problems..fixing A/f issues, idle issues, etc but like I said it's all about timing and FP if your close to where you need to be I wouldn't spend the cash...if all is close going in your likely to see very little gain.

If wanting more info on what can be acheived, I would get with Don (Dons 95 vert). He is a straight shooter and is who I would use for a non-local chip.

I said this in your other post too, don't waste your time or your money, chips can very well make a fox run worse not better. The computer is not very limiting.
Only thing they are good for is deleting the rev limiter.
