Photo of a 1994 Hub. What is this??

Long story short. I bought the M2300k brake kit for my first Mustang and now for my second Mustang i pieced together the kit as i wanted the shorter fox length axles and different rotors/etc. It just turned out to be cheaper to piece it together in my circumstances. I just picked up these hubs for my 5 lug conversion and i noticed a "gear" on them. This was not on the hubs that came with the FRPP M2300k brake kit. These hubs(pictured)i have now were ordered as a 1994 Mustang GT replacement. This is what i got. The brand is Timken(which i am under the impression is what Ford used). Can i still use these hubs? Did i order the wrong ones? Does something need to be removed? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

They came from a 94/95 that was equipped with abs. It wont effect anything on your car. I have the same thing on my fox with no issues.

Correct, as mentioned above. It's the ABS exciter ring. You won't have a sensor that correlates to the ring, so it's just a useless ring, in your case.

not worth the effort. leave it. you will see this also on axles from a 95+ stang with ABS. doesnt do anything. leave it be.

I believe just about all the new hubs are sold with the ABS rings on them. Saves the parts stores from having to stock 2 different hubs for the same car.

Why would you run ABS on a track car??

Why not, its not gonna be like i wont be able to bypass it, ever drive a car with no ABS on the street?

Not me.

I've AutoXed both ABS and non-ABS Mustangs. I preferred the ABS model on the track. Was just easier to drive.

I'm putting 94-95 ABS on my Fox.

track cars don't have ABS.... Wouldn't knowing how to drive a non ABS car make you a better driver since its more difficult

I upgraded to PBR calipers and the car stops much much better then any fox i've driven with stock brakes. Yes they will lock up if i mash it but oh well. I don't want to go through the hassle of the conversion just to have ABS.. I'd rather do a mod swap with the new 5.0, that would be awesome!

I agree, but **** happens, and when **** happens ABS will help out alot. Im not doing it cause im a bad driver. I'm doing it because i believe the car should have it, sure it may only see roads when i go on a car show cruise but **** can happen then too
