PI Intake Manifold

My 98 GT has a cracked coolant tube on the intake manifold. My question is, since ford wants 260 for a brand new intake manifold. If I can put a 99 - whatever (PI) intake manifold on my mustang. Without doing the headswap etc. Because if I can do that, maybe I'll just buy a 99 intake manifold and get a few more hp and not have to check the coolant every day lol

Sorry if this is a redundant question, I'm fairly new

There are some major threads started by kdanner on modulardepot.com forums that has altered the PI intake to work with non-PI heads with good results. Modifications were done using epoxy somehow. I'm still waiting/hoping for someone will come up with a bolt-on adapter for non-PI heads to take advantage of the newer lower intakes available for better reliability and hp/tq.

ya I've got coolant and oil in my plugs! :( TONS!!! lol probably a tablespoon or so in each. The plugs are a big pain in the ass to do. The drivers side isn't hard, but the passenger side was really hard to do. I dont think I'll be putting that intake manifold on then, I dont want to have to do any custom work, just want it to be plug and play basically. What would be awesome is if someone would sell me the updated version of the 2v intake manifold. With the aluminum crossover
