Yep, Challenger. Those are BAD ASS!!! This year is the SRT8 only with a 6.1 Hemi and automatic in Hemi Orange, Black, or Silver. Next year they'll have everything from a V6 to a 6.1 Hemi 6 speed. I'd probably wait till next year and go for the R/T with the 5.7 and 6 speed....

I've seen two of them driving around here, an orange one and a black one. I heard one guy took his to the local 1/8 mile track and only ran a 9 flat. At least they look nice

They're selling those for $60k? That's like Lotus Exige territory. Giant assed Challenger or Exige, that's a no brainer to me. Hell, I'd rather take a used Z06or a GT500. I don't see the draw. It's cool, but nothing incredibly special. It's just another huge Dodge.

Everything is going closer to "big block " or go home now...at least right this minute...the gas crunch may kill these cars just as fast too. Plus they still have the weight issue which puts them roughly 80hp behind. Still they look cool and have their place, i know.

yeah next year dodge is coming out with the standard tranny challenger. i i like how they look alot.

for some reason i really like dodge, the challengers, the magnums, the chargers, the srt ram. i've seen a few srt magnums in person and fell in love with them.

as much as i hate to say it, i love how stock srt4 neons look.

i've seen quite a few challengers in person and i'm very impressed.

saw the new camaro in person at a car show in philly, it was a vert, and it looked alot better then the coupe.

now we just need a s197 version of the cougar, i'd be all over that.

just looked it up, there wont be a z28 right away.

there will be a lt and an ls v6, and a ss v8. then down the road a Z28.

I don't even want to know the horsepower on these cars. i know the v6 they are throwing in there is from a caddilac and in the caddilac its pushing out 306 horsepower.

if the 6 banger is putting out over 300, wtf is the v8 going to be putting out?

and to think, my 302 cubic inch v8 isn't putting out even 200. i will be hiding when the new camaros come out.

I just checked the Chevy website. The coupe comes out in early 2009 and vert in mid 2009. the V6 makes 300 hp. The V8 makes 400 with a 6 speed automatic and 422 with a 6 speed manual.

yeah. thats crazy. i wonder what the z28 will be rated at. the SS is supposed to be the base V8 available, and then the z28 the top dog. but no numbers have been released for that that i saw.

the v6 is supposed to cover the quarter in 14.5 and what seems wrong to me, but it said the manual can do it in 2/10ths slower. i figured they'd be the same and if not the manual faster.
