Can someone post a pic up showing how the clutch cable is routed around longtubes? I'm trying to get the cable going and can't exactly remember how it goes.

got the engine/trans put back in...ended up putting the motor mounts on the wrong side cuz I'm brilliant like that. Tomorrow I'm gonna finish connecting everything and putting the upper intake on.

Fiveoho: about that teflon RMS....it wasn't really hard to get it on. The Fel-pro one comes with a plastic sleeve that makes it 10 times easier to put the seal on. After that just evenly tap it til it's flush with the block (I used the old seal to help out)
I can't speak for the performance of the seal yet, but it sure is on there tight.

Yeah, I tried putting it on and couldn't get it on no matter how hard I tried....then I remembered a plastic sleeve that came with the RMS...slipped that over the crank and it went right now.

also, when removing your old one (if you haven't already done it) I'd drill 2 sheet metal screws in there and pry it out with a claw hammer.

i have the Maximum Motorsports OE universal cable (only $60 and great quality) and it's intentionally longer for header clearance--might wanna give that a shot.

sounds like the plastic sleeve is important...do all RMS come with it? does autozone, advance or o'reily's have that same RMS you got? and the pan does -not- have to be dropped, right?

thanks for the top with the screws.

and about the clutch cable, +1 for MM. i have that cable too but a FWA is a must with it.

I couldn't tell you if other RMS's come with it. I got my felpro off summit racing for right around 40.
