I had been looking for a cheap, yet nice, used 94-95GT for a few months and luck just wasn't on my side. I wanted another car that I could drive around and enjoy and not worry about unlike my current '95. I also wanted something that I could autox on the weekends. In the end I realized that I didn't need, nor could I fit another car into my life. My DD focus ZX3 was getting up there in miles and out of the blue Troy (yeahloh95) called me to tell me about a car that had just been traded at a local dealership. Well, I signed the papers on Saturday and its now mine! This car replaced my '02 focus as my DD, and it will also serve as my weekend autox car.

Its an '03 SVT focus with HID headlights, winter package which consist of heated seats, traction control, an engine block heater... it also has the 6 disc upgraded audiophile system with a sub in the back, and a moon roof. its a 6 speed, it has 170hp/145tq, redlines at 7200, and weighs in at around 2750lbs. This car is a blast to drive and I think it was the perfect decision for me even though I wanted another 94-95. Anyway, here are some pics...

I've heard those things handle like they're on rails. Nice score!

I probably should've gotten something like that, instead of another SUV that gets worse mileage than the one it replaced.

It handles great... but it'll understeer too though as I found out last night if you go into a 90* turn at 35mph while under throttle. LOL! The most impressive thing about this car to me thus far is the brakes. I put the brake pedal to the floor at 45mph and I was almost seeing stars it stopped so fast. I was in complete amazement. My wife was with me when I did it and her exact quote was "Holy Sh..!"

I'm going to tint the windows, put on some good brake pads and stainless steel brake lines, get winter tires for my old stock 16" ZX3 wheels, and buy a dedicated set of autox wheels and tires. I may also get a predator from this guy named Tom as its supposed to cure a LOT of the little problems with the factory tune and the car will pick up a lot of midrange power from the dyno graphs I've seen with it.

Very nice paul!

I guess that 95 we spoke about fell through. Anyway Im glad you found yourself a nice auto-x car. Notice I didnt say DD, You may tell yourself that its for DD purposes, but I know what you were thinking all along.

Good luck with it, hope it turns some good #s for ya. BTW does this mean we won't see the 95 at Carlisle?

I got to drive a few of those when our dealership had some.

I think they are better than the Saleen Focus'(and cheaper too )

The handling is awesome, and the stock exhaust sounds good too.

Just don't be like one of our old, fired, salesmen and dump the clutch @7 grand.

Thanks guys, I'm happy thus far with my purchase. It really is a fun little car to drive and it feels so much more refined than my old ZX3. It really feels like a better and more expensive car than just "a focus."

Rich- I tried doing everything I could to buy that car but I really don't think he wanted to sell it. I finally offered him what he was asking and the night before I wanted to pick it up he said that he couldn't sell it because his dad's car was broke and he needed it for work... it sounded really fishy to me so I said to hell with it. I tried for 2 months to buy the car that he "had to get rid of" but everytime I tried it seemed like he didn't want to sell it so I moved on. I'm not sure which car I'll take to Carlisle, more than likely it'll still be the mustang unless gas is like $4.00 a gallon by then. Now that I'm not getting another mustang I need to decide what to do with all the parts I planned to use on it.

Well I guess your better off that It fell through, definately sounded shady. Im kinda thinking the Focus will be alot more fun on the auto-x than the stang. Will this change what class you planned on running in? As far as the secret parts pile, you can sell some off them to me so you can support the new mods to the Focus!

Nice pick. A good buddy of mine has a red one and let me drive it, it was awesome. I have always thought it would make a good DD for me, then after driving his, I really wanted one.

Congrats you lucky bastard! lol
