I had to claybar mine before the first coat of wax went on. I've been using Meguires NXT. Easy on easy off and hides the swirl marks. Ask Ed he is the Cobra waxin' uber geek. :rlaugh:

Oh ya, another tip for the love and care of the black Cobra. Use an electric leaf blower to dry it. The more you touch the paint the more swirl marks.
Lol Keith, orbital buffer NXT and a Clay bar :flag: oh ya just say no too "dirt roads"....Sorry Keith I just had too :D "

Yo got your vert right here~!

Check the attached photo!

It's at the same dealer I bought my Cobra yesterday :nice:

Ok word from a pro is...

Use Mcguiers #7 polish no wax. It hardens the paint while it's still soft. No clay either. Just polish and I'm supposed to do it like a quarter panel a shot.

word

They had a mystichrome 3 days ago. The last of the Cobras are going really fast. At nearly $7,000 off and a limited supply....run don't walk. :spot:

Just kidding. :)

I had never heard to change oil right when you get it, in fact i was always told to wait a change or two even before putting synth in.

If you want the best in finish's use Zaino. Best there is and its not carnuba based, so it doesnt attract dust. =)

Congrats

I'm going to have to wait till I get in to the dealer

I swapped out my 99 GT old K&N and put it in. And crapo :notnice: the engine service light came on about 3 mins into driving. So I put the factory back on. And the light still does not go away. Oh well I tried the ole' pull the negative lead on the battery but I can't get the damn lead off without scratching the bolts. So I'm going to just wait.

Yeah my box set and my wrenches just don't quite work for the job on taking off the negative terminal. Rather then have a bunch of scratch marks with vice grips on the nut I think I will just wait. I want the engine to look factory when I take it in.

Eric :)

Yeah I'm going to go to lalmart as my son calls it and get some damn polish and good soap for my car and wash it in the rain! LOL

It's gone. In it's place sits an '05 GT covered in caution tape. They only have 2 '04' cobras and one '03 cobra left (as of 2 days ago).

Did I read that correctly? is it completely covered waiting for an "unveiling" or can you actually get a good look at it in person?
