i do like how the car is silhouetted against the backdrop though...but yeah it coulda been better

You're just a few camera skills away from having some really good pictures. Nice timing with the sunset, etc. I don't know how to use a digital camera too well but there are some guys on this forum who could probably really throw you some tips. Nice ride though!

I see you kept the film ISO (speed) the same throughout the pictures, good for reducing noise - bad for dim lighting. Try longer shutter's with the tri-pod
