Nice looking car. Lose the Cobra emblems on the stock appearing GT, I don't think anyone is going to be fooled by them

i just asked my dad for clarification what the guy did, (my dad hates explaining things to me) but he said he basically rebuilt my tranny, he says it got all new parts. idk if 700$ is fair for that but my dad knows his stuff sooo... yea but the emblems are from the previous owner, they are ultra glued on. i mean i cant get them to budge without wedging something between and i dont want to ruin my paint. i have 5.0 emblems and i am in the process of removing the corbas, u may not have notice but they arent even right, they are 2 rh side emblems, one faces the wrong way. pin striping is also going to be removed. ive had the car for 2 1/5 weeks and so far i havent gotten to that. how can i remove them without damaging the paint?

the one emblem that you say is backwards is supposed to be backwards, as for taking them off, take a plastic scraper and just slowly work your way under the whole emblem and it should come off, there should be some tape left over on the fender, get some wax and grease remover from walmart and it will slowly soften the tape and youll eventually be able to get it all off.

hmm interesting, didnt know it was supposed to be like that. but ya it is not tapped on its glue. the guy i bought it from wasnt a very bright man. he knew very little about the car. idk if anyone remembers how i posted a while back about a random wire he said was for the fog lights, and i hooked the wire to the battery and a bulldog alarm started.... so yea dont worry they will be rid of by woodward time.

Yeah on the '93 Cobra one emblem is backwards.

On the 94 later Cobras, ford has both snake emblems facing forwards.

The car isn't a '93 Cobra so do whatevery you want. If you want both facing forwards, go for it.

no not 8 hours for the shifter, i meant 8 hours total time for everything. lol comon now. i just pulled a 302 with trans today, out of an 85 gt for a guy i just met about a weed ago. took about 5 or 6 hours. pulled engine and trans as one piece, and unhooked everything. took our time , i was pretty much doing it by myself the person who owns it was there helping out with the petty bull**** but i did all the real work myself. was pretty easy and didnt really run into any problems. how much u guys think i should charge him. gonna put a new engine in also. its a 5 speed.

dude where the f u c k are u getting ur prices at. 700 bucks for clutch and everything are u high or what, dont mean to be an ass but somebody is hosing you bigtime, u can get a clutch with pressure plate and throwout bearing and pilot bearing for like 200 bucks, thats what i paid for my spec stage 1 clutch and i loved it to death. great pedal feel and grabbed nice. as for a shifter rebuild i dont know what that is but get urself a pro 5.0 or a mgw for like 150 to 200 dollars. and then install it all on a saturday. shouldnt take u more than 8 hours for ur first time.

lol , thats funny as hell that u said that, at my job me and some other guys are always bsing and saying stupid lines and ****, and the one day one of the guys said that, and we all started dying laughing, one of those had to be there moments. Now everybody at our work in the field says it,. but yeah i kinda blew up back there because i hate when ppl post some rediculus amount of money to do a job or have a mechanic do it, because they havent shopped around or done their research. Some ppl just need to stop being so afraid of their cars and do something theirself, its the only way they are gonna learn.I trust one garage to touch my vehicles and its because they love mustangs, they are old and still dragrace at the strip, i used to work there, and they are the only two employess they are brothers, they are in their 60's.But i have only taken my car into the garage once, and that was to have my 373 gears installed, all other work i do myself.:SNSign:
