Well me and aond of the camaro guys went up to the shop today to take a look at the car. Yep same amount of work as was done 2 weeks ago. Ran into one of the members on stlsr.com was cool though. But snapped off a few pics. Tommy kept trying to tell me my wheels wouldnt fit at all...

The wheels did fit onto the lugs but I got to drill out the 4x100 area of the wheel so it can fit over the bolts used to hold the rotor on. But other than that fit and looked good. Still not much progress but since a few people were curious about it. Figured I would post it up.

The intercooler is going to get a Co2 spray bar on it. Also I am going to try tp strip this thing down to 1600lbs! :hail2:
250-270hp 1600-1800lbs. she is at 1800 roughly right now. I am betting I can find another 100-200lbs lol.
which would put her with me in it and fuel around 1800-1900lbs.
No power steering
No sound deadening
No Ac
No power windows
No power locks
No power mirrors
Manual 5 spd (cable setup not hydraulic)
Wheels are around 8lbs lighter than stockers.
Got plenty of stuff to pull still though!

nobody bothered to clean up the motor or engine bay before dropping the motor in there? .... :nonono:

Dr.
yeah trust me I am not happy about this was I was told it was going to be. But then again was told back in November this would take 4-6 weeks and 3500 bux. We are at 5000 and 7months!!

I have never heard of a Mitsubishi Cordia.

enliten me
Cordia is just the model before the Eclipse. Weighs less. A lot less. Came in turbo or carbed non turbo models. Were pricey back in their day as I found the original dealer invoice for the car and it says 14,000 BUX! ouch for back in 88.
This one which my family is the original owners of was originally a carbed 2.0L (90hp) Now has a 4g63 (2.0L dohc turbo) that is bored over .30 it has its balance shafts removed and a few other little goodies. Its a neat little car. Closest competition from ford back in the 80's... Probably Ford Escort EXP. Fairly roomy but pretty low riding when you get into it. They are pretty rare here in the states. If I had to guess maybe 15-20 total that are being driven and modded. This one is the first to get the 4g63 swap which is popular over across the pond.

Very cool .. I love that motor. I've helped my friend with his Talon. He ran a 12.91, on all stock internals, stock ingnition, pump, ecu. With 20# of boost thrown at it. Is the Cordia FWD? Or was it offered with the AWD?

Cordia only came in fwd trim. Some crazy aussie built one with an SBC smallblock and awd though
