Well, the new super duper billet water pump, was crowding the blower belt.So after a few choice words, i decided to cut and weld a new tensioner and move it down to get a little clearance between the belt and the waterpump motor. The engine went in relatively easy this time, from hoist to mounted in about 51 minutes(yes i timed myself). I have 1 header left, wire up the water pump, put in the radiator(and hope it fits:aaron: )fill with fluids, but it should be running by tomorow or wednesday at the latest.

Looks like fun..... Mines only been out once since 03 for a freshen and CAM. Next time it comes out it will be for good.....

Good lookin car....

Are you one of the two in the picture? Like to put a face to the guy who paints his car bright orange:D ...

Looks real nice :nice:

But why the 3 finger clutch? aren't diaphram clutches easier of the pedal?
Do the 3 finger hold better?
long story short. I had a diaphragm centerforce DF. It chattered from day 1. I pulled the trans about 4 times in one day and double checked everything.I finally pulled out the clutch and the guys at McLeod looked it over and said everything looked ok.They DID NOT want to sell me a clucth because they couldnt guarantee it would fix the problem. Well I bought one of their strip clutches and problem gone.So i stick with their product now.

This was just gonna be a simple "cam change". $3000 later, i'll see if it makes a difference.

Nope, neither one is me,those are just two buddies that decided to help out and get greasy:nice:

The diaphram clutches are easier pedal effort, but I believe the 3 fingered ones hold better. The diaphram's assist is based on centrifical force with weights, on some three finger clutches, you can adjust the springs that hold the clutch tighter between the pressure plate and flywheel. Of all my buddies that use clutches, they all use the 3 fingered kind.
