Made the swap from power brakes to manual Strange brakes front and rear, also added a new master cylinder, line lock, fittings and lines from Skinny Kid Race Cars. Turned out pretty good. The car dropped 100lbs!!!! Which was great till I noticed at the track that the converter tightened up on me...lol. We'll fix that later. The front was pulled in some which I was happy about. I was able to remove the 1" spacer on my Bogart wheels now that the brakes are smaller so now the wheel is tucked better. Here are some pics. Sorry they are big.

They look great. How's the stopping power in comparison to the Cobras? I wasn't even aware that Strange made brakes. I guess you learn something new everyday.

The stock brakes work a little better but since being a track only car it doesn't matter they work fine for me at the track. The pedal feel is different, little more firm than the stock pedal.
Paul, were the 100lbs was great we are getting there for sure. The car weighed 3165 with me and a full tank of gas this past sunday. I have a few more new items to put on the car to play with through the end of the year then it will be time to make a few changes to the motor.

Wow, those look Strange! Pun intended...
So... are they 2-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston in the rear? I is bewildered
I'm not surprised you lost that much weight though, those Cobra calipers and rotors are HEAVY bastards.

And i was confused too...i thought u'd want the brakes with more pistons upfront. Will they not fit with those wheels?

The single piston for the front is plenty b/c they are meant for a car with a skinny tire up front like I run. Use the bigger brakes in the rear for the big tire. Plus you need the big rear brakes for staging...turbo cars will need dual brakes in the back.

I am always impressed with your car. This additional detail is no exception. Looking good.
