I remember the way your car looked a few months back, when it was jacked up in the back and had different wheels on it. A simple lowering and wheel swap really brought it up to date, looks great.

I still have a soft spot for the old look. Heck, I grew up in the 80's... the coolest cars around had that "jacked up with huge tires" look. However, I've been working hard at trying to "modernize the classic". I've put in power windows, power locks with keyless entry, new stereo, modern-style white face guages with blue lighting, etc. This winter I'm hoping to convert to EFI. So in the new spirit of the car, the old stance just wasn't working. Plus I'm at a point where I'd rather sacrifice a little off the line traction for some better handling in the corners.
