Pictures Of The Granada Set-up On My 65

Just finished installing the Granada set-up. I pretty much followed what I had read on-line and for the most part it was bang on. I am using (right now) original 14" styled steel wheels for which there is a fitment issue.

I bought 2 new rotors and had the outer bearing snouts turned down by a machine shop ($50). I then removed the wheel studs and installed new studs that were a 1/2" longer (supported the rotor and drove them in slowly with a sledge hammer). I also used 1/4" wheel spacers.

Test fitted the 14" wheels with lug nuts and they were indeed locked up tight as expected. I drilled some guide holes about 1/16" deep and got to work with the grinder. Tried the wheels again and could spin but still binding in a couple of spots. Took the rim off and I could see where it was binding by the marks left. More grinding and then bingo!!! the 14" wheels fit. You can see in the caliper pic where I had to grind.

Now have to install the master cylinder and plumb them together.View attachment 74751

Anyway I bought parts from CSRP in Texas. I picked up the dual res non-power/booster master for $54. Also bought the Granada outer tie-rods ($25 ea) and the pre-bent hard lines ($26 ea) from them as well.

Yeah it's a fair bit of work to get the 14" styled wheels to fit but it will allow me to have the car qualify for 'Collector' plates when finished. Annual insurance for Collector cars is around $300 vs $1800 for regular insurance. Once you have all the pieces it's really not that bad though.
