PING, RING, PONG, TING!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP ME!!!!

IT WON'T STOP PINGING WITH 87 OCTANE AT 3 DEGREES TIMING, ARRRHHHHAAAA!!!! I'M GOING CRAZY!!!
1) only pings when it's warm
2)has timing set at 3degrees initial
3)completely stock
4)will ping at ANY RPM once it's warm
5)91 OCTANE helps, but it'll still PING

This is my other car, I also have a 94, which runs real well, however; I had to reduce the timing, since it also pings, just not as bad.

have you pulled codes? cleaned the MAF? checked fuel pressure? i would not run at 3* base timing. are you sure the balancer did not spin?

Clean the Mass Air meter. How fresh is the tune up? Oh, run nothing but super unleaded in it. My old 95 had same problem at 4500-5000 rpm and after i cleaned the Mass Air Meter all problems solved. This was with stock timing of 10degrees.

Why 3* timing? if it's stock set it at 10* thats factory setting.

yea, sounds like its time for a tune-up, and make sure the balancer is not bad, and set your timing back up.

My bet is on the balancer. get under the car and check if there is rubber sticking out of the back. If the balancer has spun you could be running more timing that you think.

i think this is your Intake Air Temp. sensor, well between that and the MAF
