yeah if you have a stock HU, then i would go buy a LIne converter, you can pick it up anywhere and tap into the wires going into your L and R rear speaker. if your running your amp mono you will only need to tap into one speaker

if you have an aftermaket HU there should be rca's out puts on the back (red and white) all you need to do is hook them up and run them to the trunk.

If not , you need to tap in right at the speaker after the factory amp. if your just running a sub polarity does not really matter too much.

i was planning on my HU to power the 2 2way and 2 4way speakers i plan on running, then the amp will power the sub. Should i run another amp to supply my other speakers so they get some more juice?

if you have the money and your HU has a front and rear output it will not hurt, even though your hu says its 35x4 its really 14x4 with a 35 watt max.

If you're talking about just adding a sub and an Amp, I have a write up with schematics and Pics.
